Seasonal Library Aide

Part-time  · $10 / hour

 

The Chilton Public Library has an opening for a Seasonal Library Aide to perform a variety of circulation duties and also assist in supporting other areas as needed, including youth programming. This position will run from June - August.

 

This is a part-time position for the summer, however, it may lead to year-long employment. Position will include daytime, evening, and Saturday hours. Applicants must include a City of Chilton application (https://bit.ly/3ewDX17).

 

Applicants must be at least 16 years old, be able to follow written and oral instructions, and have the ability to learn the Dewey Decimal system and other library filing systems. Good communication and interpersonal skills are a must.

 

A Seasonal Library Aide will need to be able to push and pull a library cart full of books, stand for long periods of time in one area and bend and stretch to reach high and low shelves.

 

Position will remain open until filled.
