Craft Supplies Needed - Imagine Your Fairytale (and folktale)

Younger Projects:

Paper Bag Gingerbread Houses and Puppets Materials:

  • Small Paper Lunch Bag

  • White Glue

  • Markers

  • Scotch Tape

  • Construction Paper

  • Popsicle Sticks

Decorations: (these are all optional and can be mixed and matched) Rick Rack, Puff Paint, Glitter Glue, Pom Poms, Foam Stickers Old File Folders (to glue on templates for puppets), Small Binder Clips (optional) Templates: Fairytale Characters


Red Riding Hood’s No-Bake Cookies Ingredients

  • Peanut Butter (creamy or chunky)

  • Honey

  • Cornflakes cereal

  • Powdered Milk

  • Optional Ingredients to add:

    • Chocolate Chips, Raisins, Shredded Coconut, Different Kinds of Cereal, Crushed Pretzels


Older Project Magic (Pysanky) Eggs Materials:

  • Raw Eggs (Hardboiled Can Also Be Used)

  • Markers

  • Paint

  • White Glue

  • Water

  • Paint Brushes

  • Safety Pin

  • Bowl Empty

  • Egg Carton

  • Wall Spackle (optional)

Monday - Show Day!


Once upon a time…
It’s our first adventure through the Once Upon a Time Machine as we head into THE MIXED-UP FAIRYTALE Show featuring some of your favorite fairytale characters and a real ten-foot-tall giant!

TUESDAY – Younger Kids Craft Day


WEDNESDAY – Author day

We have two guest authors for our kick-off week, including the man behind MR. LEMONCELLO’S LIBRARY, Chris Grabenstein, AND librarian, storyteller, and PRESIDENT-ELECT OF ALSC, Lucia Gonzalez!


THURSDAY – Tween Craft Day

Our activity & craft for older kids is playing fairytale Madlibs and designing magical “golden” eggs.


FRIDAY – Guest Performer Day

Librarians will recognize our guest performer, Grammy Winning Family Funk Phenomenon, Secret Agent 23 Skidoo from his many years of producing music for CSLP and being the CSLP Reading Champion.
